Over the past few weeks, I've been preparing for my upcoming wedding videos! I had a call with my Sept. 18th client last week and we talked through the details of her daughter's wedding. It was great to hear from her and her husband and I got a better sense of what I'll be doing for them. She also sent me pictures of key family members so I'm able to identify who I should be focusing on for the video easily. I'm placing my equipment rental order today and am planning on using a Cannon 6D mark II and a 50 mm lens. I've done a lot of research and concluded that this would be the best pair for me and my video! The only thing I'm a bit nervous about for this wedding is that my client wants me to film just the reception after the ceremony, so I'm worried my content will be limited. However, I know I can make a great product for her and it might be nice to have videos varying in style-- whether I include them all in my final project or not.

Over the past couple of weeks, I worked on getting client(s) for my project. I am happy to report that I locked in a wedding on October 23rd! My client is Greek and her husband is American, so the wedding should be an awesome mix of cultures and customs! I'm very excited to have the opportunity to capture their day. I also have a wedding planned for September 18th. Interestingly, this client heard about me from a friend and inquired about me filming her daughter's day. She also happened to be my gym teacher when I was in elementary school! I plan on asking her if it's okay to use the video as a part of my project-- whether it will end up in the "final" or not I'm not sure of. I'm very excited about where my project is going; my next step is to get all my gear together get the itinerary of their days!
